Our guide was excellent. There were 6 of us, the youngest being only 6 years old - the oldest in their 70s - yet all of us enjoyed the visit. We had real safety concerns about the steps with only a handrail on one side and a drop on the other - but luckily, foot traffic in October was light so we didnt have 2 way traffic. One major disappointment, was that we had no time left to see Lindos town and had to pass hurriedly through the streets after visiting the acropolis, to get the coach back

As you approach Lindos, there's no mistaking the mountaintop fortress of the Acropolis, perched more than 120 metres above the sea. Such was the importance of Rhodes and Lindos throughout the centuries, that the Knights of St John erected walls in the 13th century to protect the citadel.
