What to expect

Discover Bran Castle, known as ‘Dracula’s Castle,’ and Râșnov Fortress on this 4-hour small group tour from Braşov.

Travel to Râșnov to explore its stunning 13th-century fortress and then visit Bran Castle, the turreted hilltop palace linked to Bram Stoker’s novel of Count Dracula. Walk through the spooky rooms and hear tales about Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century noble who was imprisoned here and inspired Stoker’s blood-stained vampire.

The interior of Rasnov Fortress is closed in 2021, you will see the outside and the exterior court of the citadel.

You have the possibility to extend your tour by 3/4 hours to include a visit to the beautifully ornate Peleș Castle (Upgrade at booking to extend your tour for an additional fee to include Peles Castle). Peles Castle and Pelisor Castle, part of the larger Peles Castle complex, are closed on Monday and Tuesdays.

Meeting point:

In front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35, at 7:30 AM from Wednesday to Sunday; at 10:00 AM on Monday; at 08:00 AM on Tuesday. Please be aware that the local operator provides pick-up and drop-off services exclusively within the city of Brașov, as well as for guests staying outside the old town. The pick-up time will vary based on the location requested. Additionally, they will be happy to drop off guests at a different location than the pick-up point for an additional fee. The guide holds the sign "Meeting Point GUARANTEED DEPARTURES DAY TOURS”.

Râșnov Fortress is closed, only exterior visits are permitted
Starting August 1st, 2025, guided tours inside Bran Castle will be conducted exclusively by the Castle’s official guides
Tickets to Peleș Castle can only be purchased in advance online at their official website. Slots: Wednesday 10:00–12:45, Thursday to Sunday 09:15–11:00
